Join us for a ride from Renton Old City Hall (200 Mill Ave) on a 30 mile route at Moderate 16MPH!
This is a nice route featuring some climbing, quiet neighborhoods and fun descents. We start out at 200 Mill Ave S, head out onto Park Avenue and take a restroom break at Gene Coulon Park. Our first climb is up Lincoln Avenue/May Creek Park Drive. A few rolling hills and one descent later it's up everyone's favorite hill, 196th. A quick break at Petrovitsky Park and then the last few miles through some quiet residential areas, prior to a last descent into downtown Renton.
Let's meet at the Old Renton CIty Hall at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 2,12 (Optional) and 20.8. This ride does not have a scheduled food stop if riders desire we can make a stop at mile 12 at Starbucks.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
