Event has already happened.
Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and tissues for use at rest stops.
We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.
Join us for a ride from Orting on a 33.8 mile route at moderate pace at 14-16mph!
That's right, you heard it. If we have rain or shine on Sunday we are riding. Why will this ride be great, you ask? We are going to stop for pie at the Pie Goddess in Enumclaw for Pie Day on March 13 and or 3.141592653589793238!!!!
We will begin our ride in Downtown Orting, where we will travel on the Foothills Trail towards Enumclaw! Our rest stop/coffee stop will be at mile 17.
Let's meet at the start at 10:45 to get ourselves ready and to listen to our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 7, mid way destination at the Pie Goddess and back at the start of the ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
