Event has already happened.
Wandering West Seattle is back for 2019! We start off in bucolic downtown Renton at Burnett Linear Park, warm up with a ride out to Alki then around the point where the fun begins. We head to West Seattle via Marine View Drive, a challenging but manageable climb; after which we will stop at the Dubsea Deli and prepare for our final long climb up Des Moines Memorial drive before returning to Renton.
- Stops: Alki (5 min, mile 19), Dubsea Coffee (20 min, mile 30.2)
- Regroup at top of hills or when necessary
- In the event of damp weather use of fenders is appreciated
- Mentoring available with advance warning
If weather conditions meet the cancel criteria on the day of the ride, I will post a ride-canceled notice in Comments, below, two hours prior, and I will not be at the start. Ice or snow also cancel. Please check here before leaving for the ride.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
