A Short and Easy Local Gravel Ride
Event has already happened.
Join me for an easy gravel ride from Issaquah to Preston.
The ride will begin at the Sunset Trailhead and follow the Issaquah Preston Trail. We may extend the ride using the paved trail in Preston. Please arrive five minutes early so we can introduce ourselves and go over the ride details. We will roll at 11:00 sharp.
I've listed this ride as "Brisk" because riders should be comfortable riding at an effort equivalent to a brisk road ride. The Issaquah-Preston Trail is a smooth gravel trail that climbs gently to Preston, perfect for a social ride. I will be on a mountain bike, but gravel bikes, cyclocross bikes, or even a road bike with wide tires work well on the trail.
After we return to the Sunset Trailhead, riders can choose to head home or grab a quick bite to eat at one of Issaquah's many restaurants in town -- the Issaquah Brewery and Sunset Ale House are favorites among the cycling community!
