Paradise Valley Conservation Area Mountain Biking

Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Paradise Valley Conservation Area Trail Head parking lot on Paradise Lake Road on a 8 to 10 mile route. The pace is about 6 to 8 mph, but that is because it is nearly impossible to go much faster safely due to mud, water, roots, other obstacles and tight maneuvering.
Paradise Valley Conservation Area (PVCA or just PV) is a Snohomish County Park property that has a variety of single-track to ride from rooty to twisty to swoopy. There are no big climbs here, but a lot of up and down. You'll get a surprisingly good workout riding here. There is about 11 miles of trail open to bikes. We will explore most of the area depending upon the trail conditions. Please note that the exposed roots (lots of them) will be a slippery challenge and often result in a crash. There is no cue sheet or GPS route.
Let's meet at the Paradise Valley Conservation Area Trail Head parking at 9:15am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:30am.
We will stay mostly together, assuming you are keeping a reasonable pace.
A portable toilet is available at the start. There is not water or food available on or near the ride.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if you have them IT WILL BE VERY MUDDY WITH SOME WATER COURSES ALONG THE ROUTE. There may also be some downed trees that require a detour or climbing over and around. Due to the wet conditions, mountain bikes are best suited. A gravel biking might make it, but some of the mud is deep with few options to walk or ride around it.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
