Free Group Ride
Gravel--Snoqualmie Valley Trail, Snoqualmie-Three Forks-Rattlesnake Lake
Event has already happened.
Join us for a gravel ride on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail on one of the last days in the 60s. The group will maintain the equivalent of a steady-paced road effort (12-14 on road = 10-12 on gravel). A minimum of 32 cm tires are recommended. This beautiful stretch of easy gravel is an out and back that follows along the river to Rattlesnake Lake. NOTE: Stretches of trail may be muddy.
Pace: We'll be doing approximately 10-12 mph on the flat gravel sections, which is equivalent to a steady-paced road ride.
Check in: Please check in by 10:50 a.m. so we can do a quick safety briefing for a prompt 11:00 a.m. departure. We'll meet close to the restrooms at Centennial Fields Park in Snoqualmie.
Caution: Please do not leave valuables in your parked cars. Parks and trail heads are favorite locations for car break-ins.
Route: The planned route/cue sheet is at the link below. It will not be handed out at the start. The goal is to stay together, but please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own.
Restrooms: There are restrooms at the start/finish and a portable toilet at Rattlesnake Lake at mile 10. There is no food or water on the route, so please bring your own.
Repairs: Please be prepared to take care of your own flats and mechanicals or with a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't get you there.
Registration: Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page. Preregistration saves time at the start and allows us to contact you if there are changes. There is no need to cancel your reservation if you decide not to ride.
Cancellation: Forecasts for rain or unsafe riding conditions will be cause for cancellation, in which case the ride leader will not be at the start and the cancellation will be posted in the comments section at least 2 hours before the start.
Looking forward to riding with you!
