Free Group Ride
Auburn - Mud Mtn. 51
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Auburn to the Mud Mountain Reservoir on a 51 mile route at Moderate pace (14-16 mph)
This ride, on scenic and mostly low-traffic roads, takes us out of Auburn on Green Valley Rd, up to the Enumclaw plateau, then through farm and ranch land to the 2 mile climb to Mud Mountain Reservoir. On the return we'll have a stop at Starbucks in Enumclaw for coffee and snacks.
Let's meet at the Auburn Community Center parking lot (end of 9th St. SE) at 9:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00.
The ride leader will set a moderate pace on the flat roads. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed to stay together. Faster riders are welcome but please regroup as appropriate.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms at miles 10, 26 (+ water) and 41. Our coffee stop in Enumclaw is at mile 32.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, and a phone in case of major breakdown. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
