Meadowbrook Ramble

Join us for a ride from the Meadowbrook Playfields on a 21 mile route at Steady pace (12-14 mph)!

This will be a casual ride around several North-Seattle and north-of-Seattle neighborhoods. We’ll meet at the Meadowbrook Playfields parking lot. The parking lot entrance is on 30th Ave NE near NE 107th Street.

Let's meet at the Meadowbrook Playfields parking lot at 11:00 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure immediately after the talk.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of all hills. 

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 12.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

The route avoids the steepest hills but still has some moderate climbing. The linked route map on RideWithGPS shows elevation data. We will stop to wait for a reasonable time at the top of hills and make an effort to keep the group together. Still, you should be self-sufficient in case you have a mechanical issue or need to leave the group. Print out the route cue sheet or load the route onto your GPS device/phone.  Carry a spare tube and tools to fix a flat but it’s also good to have a plan for getting home just in case you or your bike can’t finish (cash / ORCA card for a bus or a person you can call for a ride).

Note: If forecast weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader will not be at the start location.
