Renton-Madison Park Ice Cream/Coffee Run

Join us for an out-and-back ride from Renton to Madison Park!  This will be a 28-mile route at STEADY pace (12-14 mph).

Is it very late-summer or early fall?  Either way, the weather is forecast to be nice and it's always a good time for an ice cream ride to Scoop Du Jour Ice Creamery at the foot of Madison St.  For you devoted coffee lovers, there's a Starbucks across the street. 

Let's meet at the Renton Old City Hall parking lot (200 Mill Ave. S, Renton) at 10:15 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:30 am.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.

Restrooms are available at the ride start. We will also stop along the way for restrooms/water at Seward Park (mile 7).

You are encouraged to pre-register for the ride by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to un-register if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader will not be at the start location.
