A Leisurely Ride to HI B3AR for Ice Cream

Nope, it's not too cold for ice cream!!  Come join me for a ride that features a stop for ice cream and other treats.  We'll ride 26 miles at a leisurely pace (10-12 mph). Our ride will take us through Renton to Seward Park, up to the I-90 lid, then we will take the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail with a return route through Beacon Hill.  We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to to stay together and regroup at the top of hills. We will also have two opportunities to stop for some great views of our beautiful city, so we will need to capture the memories...  

Let's meet at the Renton Community Center at 9:40 a.m. for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 a.m. (Meet in the Northeast Corner Parking Lot near the restrooms). Please note the later start time than I usually post.  This is so we won't miss the ice cream, which opens at 11:00 am.  Restrooms are available at the start. We will also stop along the way for restrooms at Seward Park if needed.  

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring your helmet, a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, some food/water and cash for treats. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
