Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Redmond on a 54 mile route at Brisk Pace (16-18 mph)!
We will riding a loop from Redmond . We will start with a steady climb up to Redmond Ridge. We will continue by meandering through the Snoqualmie Valley by Carnation to Fall City. We will then trek up to Snoqualmie Falls . The climb to Snoqualmie Falls has two stretches (1 mile and 1.5 miles) along Hwy 202, which is very busy on weekends and does not have much shoulder. Please keep this in mind when deciding if this ride is for you. We will continue with our climbing up to the Snoqualmie Ridge area for a rest/refuel stop at Starbucks. We will drop back down into Fall City for another scenic climb to the Sammamish Plateau and cruise around both Beaver and Pine Lakes for our return to Redmond along Lake Sammamish.
Let's meet at Peet's Coffee at 7:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 8:00am. Come early if you would like to enjoy a cup of coffee first! Please park in the East Lake Sammamish Trail Parking Lot adjacent to the shopping center.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the tops of climbs and occasionally elsewhere to stay together. We will not leave anyone behind. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start at the East Lake Sammamish Trail Parking Lot (Port-o-Potty) and inside Peet's Coffee. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 12.4 & 45.5. There will be a Snoqualmie Falls "Photo Op" Stop at mile 28.2 (Water and Restrooms available). We’ll also stop for a longer coffee/snack break at the Starbucks at mile 30.8.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
