Rollers Galore: Machias - Granite Falls - Arlington Loop

Route: This loop starts at Machias Park and heads north to Granite Falls along the west side of the Pilchuck River. It then continues north along the west side of the Stillaguamish River to Arlington, and back along the east side. The last segment follows some backroads around the south side of Lake Bosworth, with a fun descent to the finish. The route includes lots of rolling terrain, with most climbing under 5% grade.

Start Time: Plan to arrive by 8:45am for check-in and to hear details about the route, safety briefing, etc. so we can roll out promptly at 9:00am.

At the start: There are bathrooms (hopefully unlocked) and water available.

Rest stops: There is one planned rest stop at Haller Park in Arlington (mile 22), where water and restrooms should be available. If needed, we can also stop in Granite Falls on the way back, but will just roll through if everyone is good on supplies.

Regrouping: We will regroup at the top of hills for a reasonable time, climbing larger hills will always be at your own pace.

To bring: Please bring the route loaded on phone/gps device, or print a cue sheet, to ensure you do not miss any turns (no "sweep" planned for this ride, though we will regroup as needed). Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat. Carrying a phone in case of un-fixable mechanical is recommended.

Weather notice: In case of inclement weather, the ride leader will post a cancellation notice in the comments section below by 7:00am day of the ride, and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
