Tour de Brunch Rides Again #16: Gig Harbor Area including Fox Island & Davenport Coffee

Tour de Brunch Rides Again - September stage early as Sundays at the end of September are booked! 

Ride #16 : Explore another - hilly - part of Gig Harbor. This one is mostly outside of city limits, including a loop over the Fox Island Bridge. Route on ride with GPS linked below. Start and post ride at Davenport Coffee. (also linked below). Davenport has the same owners as neighboring Harbor Greens and sandwiches from there can also be enjoyed at Davenport.   If you are coming by car, please park on 32 nd Avenue - between the townhouses and the back of the Fred Meyer - the lot for the businesses has a time limit. We'll meet in front of Davenport at 8:45 am for introductions and pre-ride safety brief. 

Pace is moderate, meaning we are expecting riders who can sustain a speed of 14 to 16 mile per hour on flat, windless terrain for about three hours. We will take hills at our own paces and regroup after hills /  before turns if we get spread out. Paces tend to vary with climbs and descents.  Faster riders are welcome to go ahead and the group will wait for slower riders, within reason.  Please send a message or post a comment if you are unsure if this is a good ride for you or if you have any other questions. Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group rides. Some other good things to have: a charged cell phone, ID, water and snacks, supplies to fix a flat (spare tube, pump, tire levers) fenders on your bike if roads are wet, front and back lights. Bring a credit card and/or cash, especially if you are staying for brunch. A lock for your bike is also a good idea. 

For the sake of clarify and time saving at the start, please register for the ride by clicking the red "Register Now" button at the top. Basic Cascade Bicycle Club memberships are now FREE - so become a basic member if you do not already have an account (or be sure to show up at 8:45 so you can fill in and sign the waiver before we ride at 9:00).   

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. If the ride is canceled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below before 7:00 am and ride leader will not be at the start.
