TREATS - Lake Wilderness - Green River Gorge CCW

We'll pass through some rural and suburban neighborhoods on our way south to Black Diamond Bakery for our first restroom/water stop (mile 7.5).  Then descend to the awe-inspiring Green River Gorge for a group photo op. Just across the Gorge are natural springs where you can fill your water bottles.  We climb up to Cumberland through the forest and meander along quiet roads to Ravensdale for our second restroom/water stop (mile 25.5).  Lunch will be at S'wiched (see menu link below).  Then one of my favorite bike roads through the Rock Creek Natural Area takes us back to Lake Wilderness.  There is a short section (0.4 miles) of packed gravel on the Cedar to Green River trail.

Start: Meet in the Lake Wilderness Lodge parking lot at 9:45 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 am.

Regroup: We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and regroup at the top or bottom.

RSVP: You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

What to Bring: 1) Money for lunch at S'wiched;  2) A spare tube and tools to fix a flat;  3) A cell phone for plan B, just in case;  4) Two full water bottles;  5) If you would like a Route Map and Cue Sheet, print one from the RWGPS link below.

Cancelation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
