Canceled - WRUMPS - Summer Morning Ride With a Coffee Stop

Ride is canceled.

Please come out this Wednesday morning for a social bicycle ride with a coffee stop.  The ride will begin promptly at 9 am so please arrive early, no later than 8:45 so that you can get your bike ready and hear the SMART talk before we head out. 

We will leave the theater parking lot and hop onto the Interurban Trail for about 5 miles.  When we reach Kent we will turn onto Frager Road and continue north for an additional 5 miles before crossing a bridge over the Green River onto Russell Road.  As we continue north we will eventually turn onto the Green River Trail which will take us to the southern border of Renton.  At the Tukwila Family Fun Center we will turn onto the Interurban Trail which will take us back south.  Our coffee destination will be in Kent at the Macrina Bakery.  We will stop at the bakery for about 15-20 minutes.  After enjoying our coffee stop we will head out on the Green River Trail towards Kent where we will turn onto the Green River Road.  This road is very beautiful and has very little traffic.  Finally the last leg of our ride is navigating the streets of Auburn back to the theater parking lot.

Restrooms are available at the start inside the Walmart store next to the theater. We will also stop at Van Doren's Landing Park at mile 10.3.  Our coffee stop at the Macrina Bakery is at mile 21.  And if needed we can also stop at Isaac Evans Park at mile 33 for a restroom break.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
