Ferries, Hills, and Good Coffee!

Join us for a ride from Marina Beach Park, Edmonds, on a 90 mile route at a 'tandem brisk pace', 16-18 mph. Tandem brisk pace simply means slower climbing, faster descending, and high brisk on the flats. While this ride is 90 miles/5500', it does have three ferry rides to break it up, with a stop in Port Townsend for some really good coffee and eats! What better way to spend a sunny summer day in the great northwest? "Let's DO IT!"

Let's meet at the Marina Beach Park in Edmonds, at 7:50 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 8:10 am sharp. We will be aiming to catch the 9:30 am Mukilteo ferry to Clinton. You will need fare for the Mukilteo/Clinton and Keystone/Port Townsend ferries, $10.05 total. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. Porta potties are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 15, 33, 52, and 70.  We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at "Better living through coffee" at mile 53.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Please be prepared with nutrition, hydration (two water bottles), lunch money, a charged cell phone and the route either on your device or printed. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat. Major mechanicals situations will require a way to get back on your own. You should carry tools and be able to fix a flat. A helmet is required. 

The link below will provide you with the RWGPS route and cue sheet. If you would like a cue sheet, please print your own, we will not have any at the start.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
