Mercer Island to Issaquah Loop

Join us for a ride from the Mercer Island Park & Ride on a 28.9 mile route to Issaquah at a Steady pace of 12-14 mph!

We will take in a few hills and see the sights while biking through Bellevue on the way out to Issaquah.  After a break for coffee and pastries at Starbucks we will follow Newport Way on the return. There is one big hill on the way out and one on the way back.  Most of the rest of the ride is fairly level.

Let's meet at the Mercer Island Park & Ride at 9:00 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:10 am.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together by regrouping at the top of any hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms ARE NOT available at the start.  The first restrooms are at mile 4.2. We will stop along the way for restrooms at miles 4.2 and 16.7.  The 16.7 mile stop also includes coffee/snacks at Starbucks.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
