Free Group Ride
Hills with Lo
Event has already happened.
Join us for a very hilly ride from Parking Lot K in Marymoor Park. This 21.5-mile route will be done at a Vigorous pace (18-20 mph on the flats, of which there were be few!)
As Lo begins her training for lots of climbing in Italy in September, she wants to open it up to others. This will be a short, after work, ultra-hilly ride that should take about 2 hours.
Let's meet at 6:20 p.m. for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 6:30 - we will not wait!
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together with occasional regroups. Nervous about keeping up or worried you're going to be too fast? Feel free to climb at your own pace and if you lose the group, you can always go downhill to West Lake Sammamish road and back to the Marymoor parking lot. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start but there are no breaks throughout the rest of the route.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. If you decided not to ride after registering, it is not a problem.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
If the chances of active precipitation at ride time are too high, the ride will be cancelled at least two hours before start time and a notice will be posted in the Comments section below. If that is the case, the Ride Leader will not be at the start.
We hope you can join us! It is sure to be a fun time...
