Free Group Ride
Gas Works to Seward Park
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 22-mile route at a Moderate pace (14-16mph on the flats.)
It's time for another Bicycle Sunday! Lake Washington Blvd. is closed to vehicles from Mt. Baker Beach all the way to Seward Park. Let's take advantage of this summer only opportunity.
We'll meet at the parking lot of Gas Works Park at 9:45 a.m. for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10 a.m.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regrouping afterward in order to stay together.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 11 when we get to Seward Park.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" icon above. It is not a problem if you decide not to ride after registering.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the back of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
