Exploring Federal Way Summer Cycling

Join us for a ride from Federal Way on a 40 mile route at Brisk pace, 16-18 MPH!

Exploring Federal Way takes us south through Milton and Edgewood along scenic rural roads and rolling hills. We work our way back north toward Federal Way on more scenic rural roads and rolling hills. There are several short compact gravel sections on this route. I ride them on 25 mm road tires.

Let's meet at the Twin Lakes Parl & Ride at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM Sharp.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths the BPA Trail to the legal maximum posted speed 20 MPH.

Restrooms are NOT available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 18 Restroom Stop Edgewood Park. Mile 25.5 Rest Stop @ JL Lakeside Grocery food and water. Mile 31 Restroom Stop Lake Geneva Park. 

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
