Carkeek Park, Windermere & Laurelhurst

Join us for a 25.4 mile, 1800' elevation gain as we bike through the neighborhoods of Wallingford, Phinney Ridge, Loyal Heights, Blue Ridge, Northgate, Wedgwood, Windermere and Laurelhurst.  Along the way, we will visit Woodland Park, Salmon Bay Park, the Mary Avenue Trail, Carkeek Park, the Interurban Trail, and Magnuson Park.  The route will have some sections which are on paved and unpaved trails.  Most people will want to walk some short sections of the Mary Avenue Trail into Carkeek Park.  If time allows, we will have one optional short, steep climb for the climbing enthusiasts.  Those not wishing to do this climb will get a few minute rest break while this section is being done.  We will re-group on the tops of all major hills. 

Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.  

Please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above.  The ride leader will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information.
