TREATS: Blyth Park - Over the Hill and Through the Woods

Join our regular Tuesday riding group for a social, Steady-paced ride from Blyth Park in Bothell (full restrooms available) through Woodinville to Maltby, down Paradise Lake, Mink, and Bear Creek Roads to Ferrell-McWhirter Park for a restroom break (mile 20).  We’ll stop for lunch at Whole Foods in Redmond (mile 25), then have a mostly flat ride back to the start. 

Pace is Steady, 12 - 14 MPH on the flats, slower uphill and faster down.  We will regroup frequently.

This route has a challenging hill climb that we’ll get out of the way early in the ride (on Woodinville - Duvall Rd. between mile 4 and 5).  Some of us will be climbing this hill slowly and, as always, we will regroup at the top (on 156^th Ave NE just past Italianissimo Restaurant).  Also, we’ll ride on a well-compacted dirt trail for about 500 ft. at mile 18.

Please arrive early enough to be ready for the safety briefing at 9:50 AM and the departure at 10 AM.  Please register for the ride if you have a Cascade account, or you can sign the paper waiver at the start.   No need to cancel if you register and don't come.  

The goal is to stay together via regrouping as necessary, but please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own. Be prepared to deal with flat tires and mechanicals and have a plan to take yourself back to the start if your bike can’t get you there; and/or to ride alone if you are significantly faster or slower than the Steady pace.

If there is rain the leader will cancel at or before 8 AM and post the cancellation on the Cascade website.
