Free Group Ride
Wally World: Snohomish River Loop
Event has already happened.
Join us for a steady paced 29.1 mile ride starting at Machias Station just north of Snohomish. From Machias Station we will head south on the Centennial Trail to Snohomish then along the NE bank of the Snohomish River and across the Route 2 trestle to Everett. The route back to Machias Station is along the SW side of the river and the Centennial Trail. The ride is on mostly flat rural roads with only a few small hills.
Water and restrooms are available at the start, at Rotary Park in Everett (mile 17.7), and on First Street (miles 5.8 and 23.4). We will stop at the Snohomish Bakery (mile 23.5) for snacks and refreshment.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver if you didn’t register online and to hear the safety (SMART) briefing. ride start.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
