Bainbridge Island Senior Center to Renton Ride
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us on June 14 for a ride from Bainbridge Island Senior Center to Renton on a 38 mile route at 11-13 miles per hour (on the flat). At least half of the ride will be on bike trails.
Let's meet at the the senior center at 9:10 am for our pre-ride safety briefing. We will then ride over to the ferry dock to catch the 9:40 am ferry tp Seattle.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
We will ride out on Lake Washington Blvd and Seward Park Ave to Kenyon, and then over to Martin Luther King Ave. Crossing over 1-5 we will join the Green River trail after crossing through the Boeing Parking lot. Lunch planned in Renton and we will return via the 405 bike trail and the Mountain to Sound trail.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start. The ride leader will be at the start in any case.
We hope you can join us!
