Orting to Buckley

A nice no cars ride on the Foothills Trail.  This is an out and back ride with no planned stops except for restrooms.  We will meet in Central Park which is directly across from the Orting Post Office.  There is some climbing on the first half of the ride that has an average grade of 1.1%.   For more route details see map and elevation profile at RideWithGPS link below.

Restrooms at the start and at mile 7.5 and 16.4 if needed.

Arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the Cascade SMART safety briefing.  Bring spare tube, tools, patch kit, and skills to fix flats, and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails.  If roads are wet, rooster tails from bare tires are a safety issue for other riders.  Fenders with long mud flaps show that you care.
