BECU Bike Everywhere Day

Join some BECU employees on an out-and-back ride from BECU’s headquarters in Tukwila to one of our facilities in Kent in celebration of Bike Everywhere Day.  You do not need to be a BECU employee to participate in this ride.  We’ll meet at the North side of BECU’s headquarters building near the warehouse loading area then travel at a steady pace along the Green River and Interurban trails to the Center Point Corporate Park where we’ll turn around and head back to our starting point.  We’ll ride on a lightly used public road for a short distance on the return trip.  Please do not park in the parking garage.  You may park in the lot in front of the BECU building.  The Ride with GPS link to the flat and nicely paved route is below.   

Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (11:40 A.M.) so you can get yourself ready, sign the waiver, and listen to a safety briefing.  Our roll-out time is 12:00 P.M. sharp.  Riders not present for the safety briefing will not be allowed to ride with the group.  There are no restrooms at the ride start.  We’ll have the option to stop at Foster Golf Links along the way for a restroom break, if needed.

Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group Rides.  Bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails.  If roads are wet, rooster tails from bare tires are a safety issue for other riders.  Fenders with long mud flaps show that you care.

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain or other unsafe conditions will result in ride cancellation.  If the ride is canceled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below by 10:00 A.M. and the ride leader will not be at the start.
