Mercer Island - Seward Park Loop

Our ride takes us clockwise around scenic Mercer Island, across the I-90 bridge, and then down to and around Seward Park.  This is a fun route with rolling hills and peekaboo views of Lake Washington and the surrounding mountains. (This is sure to become one of your favorite summer rides!)  After our ride across I-90 we'll catch our breath while we take in the scenic view looking east across the bridge.  From there we'll follow Lake Washington Boulevard down to and around Seward Park.  Then we'll have one more I-90 crossing before going back to our starting point.

Note: There is a restroom at the start, just up the path from where we'll park our cars.  There is another restroom at Seward Park. (mile 19)

Additional Note:  We're meeting at the SOUTH LOT of Luther Burbank Park. 

Ride Notes:  All riders should bring ID; spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats; a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails; and snacks and water. Waiting for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the ride leader. It’s spring, so please dress appropriately and use fenders with long mudflaps on your bike if there are wet roads.   Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (9:40 a.m.) to get yourself ready, listen to the safety briefing and sign or check the waiver. 10:00 a.m. is roll-out time!

Pre-registering online: If you have a Cascade account, you can pre-register for this ride online by clicking on the Register button at the top of this page and entering your information. Pre-registering saves time at the beginning the ride and provides legible emergency contact information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to un-register. Riders without a Cascade account can register at the ride start.

Ride Cancellation: In addition to occasional showers, ice/snow and any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is canceled, a notice will be posted here, in the comments section below, by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the ride.  If that notice is posted, the ride leader will not be at the start.
