This is a mostly easy ride with one big hill climb. We'll ride out from Green Lake and head east toward the Burke Gilman Trail. We'll take the trail north to Lake Forest Park and then climb Perkins Way. This is our big climb of the day. It's about two miles long with 6 - 7% grades near the top. We'll then head west to the Interurban Trail for a gradual downhill back to Green Lake.

If the ride is canceled due to weather, it will be posted here in comments by 9:00 am on the day of the ride, and the ride leader will not be at the start.

What Terrain Means

Terrain indicates the most common or average terrain type of the ride and should be considered relative to the length and overall difficulty of the ride. For example, a long-distance ride with a lot of elevation gain will be overall less challenging than a short ride with equal elevation gain. Consider the pace and frequency of regroup as well to understand how advanced a ride may be.

  • Mostly flat: Trails and/or mostly flat roads with a possible gentle uphill
  • Rolling: Climbs are short and easy, not too numerous
  • Some hills: A few short, steep hills, some moderate upgrades and/or longer gentle climbs
  • Hilly: Consistent or continuous climbing
  • Off-road: Significant unpaved sections
