Event has already happened.
S.P.O.K.E.S. (Sunday Pedalers on Kinda Easy Streets) moves to Seattle this month. Join us at Gas Works Park ( parking lot) and we'll take the Burke Gilman trail and traverse onto Seattle surface streets to celebrate Orthodox Easter Sunday by cruising past St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral then head back to Burke Gilman and onto the Ballard Locks. We will cross the locks as the boats and ships allow, then a brief touch of Discovery Park, dropping down to Elliott Bay Trail that takes us to the Olympic Sculpture Garden where we'll snack on our lunches. There is a bathroom stop near this area. On our return, we'll pick-up the South Ship Canal Trail, cross the Fremont Bridge and head back to Gas Works Park.
Meet at Gas Works Park parking lot to sign the waiver, listen to safety briefing and rider introductions. Please bring a spare tube, patch kit and pump to change your own flat tire. Dress appropriately for the weather in layers that can be added or removed. Helmets are required!
