Auburn - Black Diamond 45.8

Let's meet at the Auburn Community Center parking lot (at the end of 9th St SE) and roll out at 9:00 for a moderate paced, 46 mile loop to Black Diamond and back.

We'll head out of Auburn on Auburn-Black Diamond Rd, then bypass Black Diamond on the way to Ravensdale, then down through Kanaskat, Palmer and over the Green River Gorge bridge before riding back into Black Diamond for a coffee/restroom stop at the bakery at mile 31.  We'll return to Auburn on Auburn-Black Diamond Rd, 218th and Greed Valley Rd. No huge climbs, mainly rollers and longer easy uphills.

The ride leader will ride a moderate pace (14-16mph) on the flats. Faster riders are welcome to ride ahead but please regroup as appropriate. We'll have short regroups at the top/bottom of long climbs/descents and at major intersections.

There are restrooms at the start in the community center and at the Black Diamond Bakery at mile 31. Please arrive at the start 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the SMART safety talk.

Please take the time to make sure your bike is in good working order and be prepared to fix flats and deal with routine mechanical issues. Bring a phone in case of a major breakdown. Route and cue sheet link below. Please print your cue sheet if needed.

If ride is canceled due to weather it will be posted here in comments by 7:00 am and ride leader will not be waiting at the start.
