Gravel Ride--Carnation (Nick Loutsis Park) to Rattlesnake Lake "out and back"
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Heading out for some gravel fun! Departing from Nick Loutsis Park in Carnation and heading up to Rattlesnake Lake via the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. This route is an "out and back" mostly uphill (gradual 1-2% on average) on the way out and mostly downhill on the way back. There is a porta potty at the start and a bathroom at the halfway point, but there are no places to get food or water. I would recommend for most riders two water bottles and 3 energy bars, riders should vary based on their individual needs.
A hybrid, cross-bike, or mountain bike all will work. Recommend a minimum of 28 width tires. This ride will be posted as Moderate, because it will be a Moderate "effort," which translates roughly to 12-14 mph depending on varied terrain.
