Kent-Des Moines Chilly Hilly

This is a very scenic route with view points throughout the ride. We begin mostly downhill though a nice neighborhood, then ride to the Des Moines Marina with a great view of the pier! Next is the paved Des Moines Creek Trail along the stream, followed by roads that become very challenging to test even the very hardy. After the hills, at the halfway point, we will have coffee and then return to the start. 

Please note Fred Meyer is having construction in the parking so park toward Petco near driveway. Please arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the Cascade SMART Safety talk. 

If the ride is canceled due to weather it will be posted here in Comments 2 hours prior to start time, and the ride leader will not be at the start. 

Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. Waiting for mechanical issues is at the discretion of the ride leader. 

Please make sure you bring water and snacks. Every effort will be made to stay together but if you are worried about keeping pace please print the cue sheet. There are some steep ascents and descents only riders who are comfortable with these conditions should do this ride. 

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red "Register Now" button at the top of this page, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
