FRUMPS: Woodinville-North Lake WA-Redmond Loop

Join the FRUMPS for a ride from Woodinville to UW via the Burke Gilman Trail, across the 520 trail to Redmond with a lunch stop there at mile 28, and a flat return to start via the Samammish River Trail. Much of this ride is flat terrain, with the main exception being the hills on the 520 trail. You are welcome to climb those at your own pace, and regroup at the top.

There are restrooms and water at the start, at Matthews Beach/mile 10.6 and at the lunch stop.

Riders should be at the start and ready to ride 10 minutes early for the safety/route talk, for a prompt 9:30am rollout.

The route/cue sheet is at the link below. It will not be handed out at the start, so please download or print it if you want it during the ride.

We will regroup as necessary, but it would be a good idea to take my phone number so you can contact me if you have a problem while off the back.

Fenders are highly recommended and appreciated if the roads are wet. You can join the ride without them, but if you are spraying the riders behind you, you will be asked to ride at the back.

Please be prepared to take care of flats or minor mechanicals, and have a way to get yourself home or back to start in case you are unable to complete the ride.

Please register in advance by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page. (You need a Cascade Bicycle Club account, and starting one makes you a Basic-level member of the Club at no charge. Or you can register manually at the start.) You don't have to un-register if you can't make the ride.

Rain, snow, ice, or other unsafe cycling conditions may result in cancellation of the ride. In case of cancellation the ride leader will not be at the start and a cancellation notice will be posted in COMMENTS below at least two hours prior to start. Please check for potential cancellation prior to heading to the ride.
