Seattle Pedalers On Kind Of Easy Streets is trying out a new Halloween cemetery themed route.  Costumes encouraged!  We will start at the Cascade Bicycle Club Headquarters and use the Burke Gilman Trail to wend our way to pick up the Montlake area and the Arboretum trail.  We climb Capitol Hill through Interlaken Park and up to Volunteer Park and Lakeview Cemetery. Whew!  We will bike through this amazing cemetery to visit Bruce Lee, the Denny burial sites, and hopefully Doc Maynard and his wife, and Chief Seattle's daughter Princess Angeline.  Lots of Seattle history here with a peek-a-boo view of Lake Washington to the east.  We will come down from Capitol Hill, cross the University Bridge and pick up the Burke Gilman again back to Cascade.  There are bathroom facilities at the beginning, middle and end of the ride.

Helmets, water, snacks, and the tools and ability to repair a flat if needed, are required.

Sprinkles are fine, but showers and full on rain cancels.  We have a middle section of city streets and a downhill that we don't want to take any chances with you!

Should be fun!  Lots of great views of our favorite city!  

CANCELLATION:  Sprinkles are OK but showers or steady rain will cancel this ride.  Please check the comments section here or in Meetup for notification of cancellation 2 hours prior to the beginning of the ride (i.e.by 8 AM).  Occasionally, this is a difficult call and if you see no notification the ride leaders will be at the start point (Cascade Bicycle Club) at 10 AM and make a determination at that time.  Predicting weather in Seattle is tricky and we don't want any safety issues on the downhill part of the route!  Fake blood and costumes OK - real blood, not so much!
