Free Group Ride
MUMPS BRISK: Woodinville to Mukilteo & Red Cup Cafe
Event has already happened.
Today we ride up north mostly on back roads to Everett and Mukilteo, with a lunch stop at the Red Cup Cafe in Mukilteo.
Restrooms are available at the start, at mile 15, mile 44, and at the coffee/lunch stop in the middle, mile 28.
Pace will tend to be on the high end of the 16-18 MPH brisk range on the flats, climb at your own pace, and we will regroup occasionally. The ride becomes self-led for those ahead of or behind the group. We will observe the speed limit on the multi-use trails.
Riders should be at the start 15 minutes early to ready their bikes and hear the safety/route talk, for a prompt 10am rollout.
The route/cue sheet is at the link below.
Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats; we'll pause briefly for flat repair and minor mechanicals, but have a phone and a plan to get home/back to the start if needed.
If there's a chance of precipitation, fenders with long mud flaps are recommended, for safety and courtesy. Anywhere the road is wet, if you don't have flaps close to the ground, you'll need to take the initiative to stay behind everyone with better fenders.
Please register at least two hours in advance on this website to save time at the start. (You need a CBC account, but you don't have to be a member to get one. Or you can register manually at the start.) You don't have to un-register if you can't make the ride.
In case of cancellation the ride leader will not be at the start and a cancellation notice will be posted in COMMENTS below at least two hours prior to start.
