Do you like Farmers' Markets? The Ballard Locks? Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park along the Ship Canal Trail and across the Locks. We'll the head through Ballard and up 8th Avenue NW before linking up with the Interurban North Trail. In Shoreline, we will head East before a great descent down Perkins Lane into Lake Forest Park. At the foot of Perkins Lane, we'll stop at the Lake Forest Park Farmers' Market for lunch (be sure to bring some cash or credit card). After lunch, we'll hop on the Burke-Gilman Trail for the ride back to Gas Works.
We will roll at 10:00 a.m., so please come early enough to get ready, sign a waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions -- such as dangerously high smoke levels -- will cancel the ride. If the ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below by 8:00 a.m.. on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leader will not be at the start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
