Free Group Ride
More Hills (steady)
Event has already happened.
This ride will be a perfect way to add training for otherwise weekend riders without spending too much time. And it’s a great way to enjoy the long daylight of Pacific Northwest summers. Do join us for a More Hills (steady) ride Wednesday nights. These rides are a fun way to gain strength and confidence
E Bikes are welcome
We start from Lower Woodland Park and will ride on urban Seattle/Shoreline streets as well as some trails. We will keep the published pace on flats, but you can go uphill at your own pace. We will keep the group together on these rides. It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case.
This week we work our way to UW and ride up the Interlaaken and then into South Seattle returning via the TROLL and Leary Way . This will be a great evening ride with appx 1270ft of elevation gain. A perfect hills workout.
We will roll at 6 pm so please come twenty minutes early to get ready, sign a waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier and we can better prepare with appropriate number of Ride Leaders. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
