Free Group Ride
WRUMPS--Midweek Tune-Up (Monroe, Snohomish, Maltby)
Event has already happened.
A break from the "7 Hills" route this week. The route is an adaptation of a favorite (used by CTS, CTG and others). Lots of wide open spaces, and a long stretch of flat road (for a change!) Route map and cue sheet at the Link, below.
We'll ride out of the parking lot at the far east end of 60 Acres park.
Sanicans at the start (proper restrooms/water are available at a 60 Acres lot just to the west of this one; you can see the building from the road). First "official" rest stop at Lewis Creek Park mile 19 (optional stop at Starbucks mi 7). We'll take a quick (20 min.+/-) coffee break at Snohomish Bakery, mile 28, and a rest stop at Maltby Park, mile 36.
Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats; we'll pause briefly for flat repair and minor mechanicals, but have a phone and a plan to get home/back to the start if needed.
We will try to stay together, but please bring navigation aids, in case you find yourself substantially off of group pace and need to finish on your own. The ride becomes self-led for those ahead of or behind the group.
If roads are wet, stable fenders/flaps that extend to within 5" of the ground are recommended (you can ride with less, but you'll be responsible for staying behind everyone who has longer fenders).
Please register in advance on this website to save time at the start. Online registration closes 2 hours before ride start (that's the earliest that the waiver will get printed.) You can also register at the start. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for briefing and ride prep; we'll plan to leave on time.
In case of cancellation, the ride leader will not be at the start, and notice will be posted here two hours prior, so log in and check "Comments" (below) before heading to the start (and check your email, if you registered online)
