Taking it to the Streets - National Night Out in Gig Harbor

National Night Out is a great excuse to take it to the streets for an evening ride. We'll be starting at the parking lot at Ocean 5/ Gig Harbor Fred Meyer. Please arrive at 6:15pm for introductions and safety talk. We'll head down to the waterfront and a stop at Skansie Brother's park, where there will be an outdoor concert and community booths to celebrate National Night Out. Then we'll head back up the hill to the start location for optional post ride social time. Ocean 5 is a new venue in Gig Harbor and one of the few that stays open until 10pm on weeknights.

The route is linked below and if you are unfamilar with the area, please print a cue sheet. Gig Harbor is hilly and this is a hilly ride, but we will regroup at the top of hills and none of the hills are extemely steep. 

You must have lights on your bike! We will be out after dark.

Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group rides. Bring a bike lock so you can walk around during the concert without your bike. Some other good things to have: credit card/cash, a charged cell phone, ID, water and snacks, supplies to fix a flat (spare tube, pump, tire levers) fenders on your bike if roads are wet. 

Register for the ride by clicking the red "register now" button. You do not need to be a member of Cascade to register on-line, you merely need to create a free account. Doing this beforehand will save us time at the start and your informaton will be legible on the paperwork. 

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. If the ride is cancelled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below before 4:30pm  and ride leader will not be at the start
