Free Group Ride
Arlington - Bellingham
Event has already happened.
Summer's big rides are just around the corner. Join me for this weeks training ride through Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. This is a gem of a route, and worth the travel to the start/finish point of Arlington's Twin Rivers Park. While there are four significant climbs, they are spread out over 115 miles, with long stretches of flat cruising across the broad Skagit River Valley. We will be treated to scenery of mountains, lakes, countryside, river delta, and one of Washington's jewels, Chuckanut Drive with the San Jaun Islands in view. This will be at the high end of brisk pace.
Please be ready to roll by 8:20AM, so we have time to discuss riding S.M.A.R.T.
There are bathrooms at the start. There are planned rest stops at miles 25, 60, and 95, with options available as needed.
Please be prepared with hydration, nutrition, and electrolytes, and carry 2 water bottles.
All riders need to have the tools and ability to repair a flat tire, and have a back-up plan in the event that they cannot finish the ride, for any reason.
Please register for the ride by using the red "register now" button. This will save time at the ride start, and is most appreciated!
In the event of cancellation, I will post it here, at least 2 hours prior to ride start, and will not be at the start.
The Link will provide you with the RWGPS route and cue sheet. If you would like a cue sheet, please print your own from this link.
