Free Group Ride
Seattle Pacific University (W. Ewing Park) to Edmonds (with Gelato !)
Event has already happened.
Description: This ride starts at the West Ewing Mini Park at Seattle Pacific University (by 3rd Ave. West and Nickerson St.) and takes us along the Burke Gilman Trail for about 8 miles to warm up. We turn off the trail near Matthews Beach and begin climbing as we head north toward Edmonds. Just before Edmonds, there is a beautiful downhill section along Olympic View Drive into the town, where we will have an extended rest stop for gelato before climbing back up the hill (Richmond Beach Road) toward Seattle. We will ride together and regroup at both the top and bottom of all hills.
Rest Stops: There is NO restroom at the start but there is one planned rest stop at mile 28.7 in Edmonds (where the gelato is !)
Parking - There is a 2 hour limit for parking in the W. Ewing Park. There should be plenty of parking on the nearby streets.
As is customary for all Cascade rides, you must wear a helmet, and should have necessary gear and knowledge to fix any flats you might get along the way.
