Classic Lake Washington Loop
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
This is the classic full Lake Washington Loop starting at Newport Hills Park and Ride. We will be riding counter clockwise around the lake with a stop at at the halfway point for coffee and food, most likely at Voila Bistro or Essential Bakery, both on Madison Street. There is no bathroom stop at the start however we will be making a stop at mile 9 in Kirkland for a bathroom break. The pace will be moderate on the flats and slower on the hills. We will regroup at the tops of hills. We will be observing the 15mph rule on mixed use trails.
Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page. Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. Note that this RSVP requires a Cascade Bicycle Club account. If you don't have one and/or don't want one, come to the ride anyway and just sign the waiver/attendee sheet. All are welcome.
If weather conditions meet the cancel criteria on the day of the ride, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, two hours prior. Ice or snow also cancel. Please check here before leaving for the ride.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the ride start to ready your bike and hear the safety briefing. If wet weather, please be courteous to other riders by having fenders on your bike (preferably extra long with a buddy/mud flap).
