Lake Wilderness - Flaming Geyser - Auburn
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Come enjoy the backroads south of Maple Valley down past Lake Sawyer. There is a 9% descent on 218th down to Flaming Geyser State Park where we'll take our first restroom stop. Then follow the gentle winding Green River Rd. as it meanders through the valley out to Auburn for lunch at the Sun Break Cafe. On the return we will gradually climb up Auburn-Black Diamond Rd and pass by some old and new mansions. The flora and fauna are spectacular this time of year along this route.
Start: Please arrive at the start with time to prepare your bike and hear the route update and SMART talk so we can depart promptly at 10:00 am
Cue Sheet: Please print a map and cue sheet from the Route Link below
Restrooms: In Lake Wilderness Lodge at the start, Flaming Geyser SP (mile 10.5), Sun Break Cafe (mile 22.5), Lake Sawyer Regional Park (mile 36.5).
Food: Bring pocket snacks and 2 water bottles for rest stops along the way; the sandwiches at Sun Break Cafe are very large so I usually order a half-sandwich.
Questions: You can use the comment section below but a better way is to text me at 509-203-5772.
