Free Group Ride
Seattle Pacific University (West Ewing Park) to Seward Park
Event has already happened.
This is an easy ride starting at the mini park by Seattle Pacific University (at the corner of 3rd Ave. West and Nickerson St., the West Ewing Mini Park). It would be a great Flying Wheels recovery ride.
The route will take us through Fremont, along the Burke Gillman trail and Lake Washington Boulevard. (This will be a Sunday Bike day, so partial road closure for bikes only on Lake Washington Boulevard!) I do not plan a stop at Seward Park, as we will stop at the Starbucks, just 4 miles further along.
Parking: Limited parking is available at the West Ewing Mini Park but if there are a lot of us, there is pleanty of street parking.
Start Time: Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in and participate in the safety and ride briefing. We will go over hand signals and what we say during the ride to keep ourselves safe.
REGISTRATION: Please click on the bright red “Register Now” button above to sign up for the ride - it saves time at the start and makes sure I can read your emergency number, just in case. You have to create an account, but you don't have to become a member or pay.
Food/Lunch: The Starbucks at mile 17 will be the official stop.
Cancelation: Steady rain cancels the ride. If that happens, it will be announced in the comments section below at least two hours before start time and the Ride Leader will not be at the start.

- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
