Event has already happened.
Please join me for a Sunday morning ride with some great water views. The first half of the ride is mostly flat as we head over to Kenmore with some brief sections on the Sammamish and Burke Gilman trails. Note: speed limits on the trails will be strictly obeyed. The second half of the ride is hilly as we head to Juanita, Kirkland and back to Redmond.
There will be restroom and water breaks at Blyth Park (mile 14.3) and O.O. Denny Park (mile 20.0.) There are no planned food stops, so bring any snacks or nutrition that you may need. There is a porta-pot (warning: heavily used and not always clean) at the start.
Riders should bring tools and knowledge to repair flats and minor mechanicals. Please have a backup plan (someone to call or an ORCA card) for any major mechanical that may occur.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to prepare yourself and your bike prior to the safety briefing. Ride rolls out promptly at 9:00am.
The ride leader will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meet the definition for cancellation (steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start.
