Bike to... The Gig Harbor Farmer's Market

Every Thursday during the summer, the farmers' market features produce, baked goods, crafts and live music at Skansie Park on Gig Harbor's downtown waterfront. Let's meet up for a spin,  mostly on Cushman Trail, and  end with a visit to the market. The market is just a bit below our starting location in St. Nicholas Catholic School's parking lot (off of Edwards, above the church). If you are coming by car, you have permission to park there. The market ends at 7pm, so we'll have plenty of time after this quick ride to enjoy it.  Bring some cash and a bike lock for the market. The church is a short uphill from the market, so you might want to walk from the market back to start if you left a car there. The route has some hills - we'll take them at our own pace and regroup after. 

We'll meet at 3:45pm for a short safety talk and introductions. Please register for the ride by clicking on the red "Register Now" button at the top. You do not need to be a Cascade member to register, you merely need to create a free account. There is no need to unregister if you can not make it. Newcomers are welcome! Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group rides. Some other good things to have: a charged cell phone, a credit card, ID, water and snacks, supplies to fix a flat (spare tube, pump, tire levers) fenders on your bike if roads are wet, front and back lights.   

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. If the ride is cancelled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below before 2pm and ride leader will not be at the start.
