Bike to Work Day: Ride with BECU

Join some BECU employees on an out-and-back ride from Kent to BECU’s headquarters in Tukwila in celebration of Bike to Work Day.  You do not need to be a BECU employee to participate in this ride.  We’ll meet at the CenterPoint Corporate Park then travel at a steady pace along the Interurban and Green River trails to BECU headquarters, where we can grab some breakfast snacks and coffee.  The Ride with GPS link to the flat and nicely paved route is below.   

Please arrive at least 20 minutes early (7:55 a.m.) so you can get yourself ready, sign the waiver, and listen to a safety briefing (8:05 a.m.).  Our roll-out time is 8:15 a.m.  Riders not present for the safety briefing will not be allowed to ride with the group.  There are no restrooms at the ride start.  We’ll have the option to stop at Foster Golf Links along the way for a restroom break, if needed.   

Register for the ride by clicking the red “register now” button above.  You do not need to be a member of the Cascade Bicycle Club to register online.  You just need to create a free account.  Doing this beforehand will save time for all of us before the ride starts.   

Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group Rides.  Riders are expected to have the necessary supplies and skills to fix their own flats.  Please bring a phone so you can contact someone if you have a serious mechanical problem.   

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain or other unsafe conditions will result in ride cancellation.  If the ride is canceled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below by 6:00am and the ride leader will not be at the start.
