Maybe you've driven across the 520 bridge, but have you ridden your bike across? Join me for Colleen Kelley's final mentored ride (yes, she's going to become a ride leader) as we ride from Woodland Park, north along Green Lake, over I-5, up 12th, and across 77th, decend 20th, cross the Ravenna bridge, and onto the Burke Gilman Trail over to the 520 bridge. Once we cross the bridge we'll ride down Evergreen Point Road to Medina Beach Park where we'll take a short break before heading back across the bridge and along the Burke Gilman Trail to Stone Way where we'll do our final climb to our starting point.
Yes, there are restrooms and water at the start!
10 am is a roll out time. Please aim to arrive by 9:40 so you have time to get ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier. Please come to the start with tools and knowledge of how to fix a flat, water, and either a cue sheet or the route loaded to a device in case you become separated from the group.
In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page two hours prior to the start time on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
