FRUMPS: Ride the New 520 & Arboretum Trails the FRUMPS Way
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us on a steady ride around the south end of Lake Washington via SR 520 rather than the usual I 90 crossing. It adds only a few additional miles but provides new perspective on the Lake and its opposite shores. If you have hesitated taking this route on your own and/or have questions about the exact on and off paths, this ride will give you the answers. We start at Mt Baker Beach Park and proceed north along Lakeside Avenue to the Arboretum Trail and connect with the new 520 Trail after crossing the Montlake Bridge. Then South around Lake Washington back to our starting point. There will be a food stop along the way. BILL BLAKE, thank you for providing the route for this ride!
Pace is Steady, 12-14 MPH on flat, no wind; slower uphill and faster down, with occasional regrouping.
Click on the red “Register Now” button above to sign up for the ride - it allows me to print the rider list in advance and saves time at the start. In order to pre-register, you need to have, or create a Cascade Bicycle Club account, but you don't have to become a member and there is no charge.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to ready your bike and participate in the safety and ride briefing. Restrooms and water are available at the start.
In the event of rain showers, or other adverse conditions, ride will be cancelled and leader will not be at the start, but will post cancel info in the comments section at least 2 hours before start time.
