Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
The new 520 Bridge Bicycle Trail will be opening at 3pm on December 20th. This is the inaugural ride across the entire span of the 520 bicycle and pedestrian trail. We'll start at the Cascade Bicycle Club office, ride south on the Burke Gilman Trail before stopping at the U of W Husky Stadium light rail area for a quick break. After a short break, we'll ride over to the starting area for new 520 bridge right for the official opening at 3pm. We will ride across the 520 bridge, briefly stop on the east side of the bridge and then return west to head back to the CBC office.
Please note this is the shortest day of the year, while lights are not required, lights on your bike are a good idea and they would be suggested. We will likely be finished before dark. If wet weather, please have fenders on your bike.
Please arrive 20 minutes early to ready your bike and hear the safety briefing. No cue sheets will be provided and be prepared if you have a mechanical problem e.g. flat tire.
Register - Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.
Weather - Showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride. Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.
If you have questions, please contact the Ride Leader.
